There are a number of ancient techniques given in Tantric texts in order to activate, penetrate and pierce the chakras. These include advanced meditation, internal transformation, repetition of key sounds and element visualisation. Once a student has reached a level of maturity the method is given by the teacher along with specific breathing practices. These details are often kept secret and without doubt more effective when given by an authentic Guru. Following the succession from master to disciple transmission takes place, knowledge is inherited and the light passes through. Simple reading of books, google search or youtube videos in an attempt to create new age neo tantric systems are unfortunately of little benefit and do not stand the test of time. This tradition from Guru to Shishya is the foundation of Pāramparā.
